On August 4th, I had the pleasure of speaking in the Amphitheater at the Chautauqua Institution, joined virtually and in-person by colleagues from the Cleveland Police 4th District and Community. It was wonderful to be absorbed in my chosen work (vs inside-out cancer research) for that week, and the experience was magical. So many people have led important conversations from that stage, e.g., FDR’s “I hate war” speech in 1936, Margaret Mead, Amelia Earhart, Jane Goodall, Elie Wiesel, Kurt Vonnegut, RBG, and so many more in the last 147 years.

Thankfully, Chautauqua received enough positive feedback to make the link free public access.
